Anke Lenz – Yoga, Meditation & Retreats

Sometimes it takes a journey to truly arrive within yourself. During my social gap year in Sri Lanka back in 2008, I was blessed to dive deep into Buddhism and meditation, before discovering the world of yoga shortly after in Malaysiaand later in India. What began as a journey of discovery became a lifelong path: the magic of this practice has never left me and continues to enrich my life every single day.

I am particularly fascinated by the holistic nature and profound wisdom of Indian yoga philosophy. I find deep inspiration in the teachings of the founding fathers of yoga, Swami Sivananda Saraswati & B.K.S. Iyengar.

Today, yoga and meditation are firmly integrated into my daily life. My body and mind naturally call for these practices, as well as for a holistic lifestyle guided by Ayurveda.

In my sessions, workshops, and retreats, I share my experiences with you. It is my deepest intention to create a spacewhere you can experience yourself on a deeper level and truly grow.

 
 

Soul & Sun Yoga – 
how it all started

In 2016, I decided to leave my job as a social pedagogue and seminar leader in Berlin to follow my heart. I traveled to India to train as a yoga teacher and then sought the perfect waves for surfing—my other passion—in Sri Lanka

Under the warm Sri Lankan sun, my philosophy of life found its name: Soul & Sun Yoga.

Soul represents connecting with your heart’s desires and visions.

Sun symbolizes the strength to live the life meant for you.

Yoga is about unity and connection—experienced through yoga sessions, guided meditations, or on one of my retreats.

My Yoga Style

My classes combine dynamic and flowing elements with longer-held asanas from Hatha and Yin Yoga. The focus is on proper alignment, pranayama, meditation, and yoga philosophy to experience yoga in its full depth.

I teach intuitively, respond to individual needs, and draw inspiration from the group’s energy. Practice takes place without any pressure to perform.

What makes this approach special is that holistic yoga not only improves your posture but also cultivates mental strength and flexibility that will enrich and support you far beyond the mat.

The classes are suitable for both beginners and advanced practitioners. Everyone curious is welcome!
